The last seven days at Emirates Stadium
On the pitch On the pitch… The Gunners continued their explosive start to the campaign with a 4-1 victory over Portsmouth on Saturday. Abou Diaby, making his 100th appearance for the club, bagged a first-half brace before William Gallas and substitute Aaron Ramsey completed the rout after the interval. Elsewhere, the second-string kicked off the new Reserve League South campaign in style, with a consummate 3-0 victory over Fulham at Underhill on Monday.
Off the pitch Off the pitch… Two of the gunners' FA Youth Cup starts Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Henri Lansbury moved away on short-term loan deals. Jay has moved North to Blackpool for an initial month while Henri joins Arsenal's training ground neighbours Watford until Christmas. Elsewhere, Arsene Wenger ruled out a move for fulham's Norwegian defender Brede Hangeland.
Club begins 'Arsenalisation' of Emirates Stadium

Saturday's clash with Portsmouth was the first chance for the supporters to see the early stages of the Club's Arsenalisation process. This aims to turn the Gunners' home into a very visible stronghold of all things Arsenal through a variety of artistic and creative means. There have been changes made in and around the stadium but also in the stands. For Saturday's game, every supporter received a complimentary scarf to create a sea of red and white for the clash.

'I think that this could be Abou's season'

Arsène Wenger paid tribute to Abou Diaby after the midfielder's quick-fire brace against Portsmouth. The Frenchman has sometimes struggled with injury throughout his Arsenal career, but the manager believes Saturday was a sign of things to come. "He has been here three years and I have seen that today he played his 100th game so that means he has been out for a long, long time," the manager admitted. "He has had little problems and he worked very hard this summer. he looks very sharp, very strong, he has all you dream to have to play in the Premier League."
