The last seven days at Emirates Stadium

On the pitch… Arsenal beat AZ Alkmaar 4-1 at home in the Champions League and repeated that scoreline away to Wolves. The Premier League win saw the Gunners move to second in table ahead of the international break. Steve Bould's Under-18s beat Charlton 6-0. The Ladies won 3-2 away at Chelsea and take a 3-0 away lead into the second leg of their Champions League match against Sparta Prague.

Off the pitch… Fans have been invited to place bids for the shirts worn by Arsenal players in the win at Wolves. The blue away strip had a poppy embroidered into it and the money raised from the auction will go to The Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes. Nicklas Bendtner was voted Danish Player of the Year but was ruled out for three to four weeks after minor groin injury. Fran Merida verbally agreed a new contract at the Club.

Wenger: 'Fabregas is now better than ever'

Cesc Fabregas has moved to the top of Arsenal's goalscoring charts and manager Arsène Wenger says he is now better than ever. "He has improved defensively and offensively," said the manager. "What is good as well is that he is 22-years-old so there is a lot more to come from him. If he keeps the same attitude a lot more will come from him."

'This could be the season we win a trophy'

Joel Davies was full of optimism when he emailed our MatchDay Show after the 4-1 victory over Wolves. "I think this could be the season we win a trophy," he said. "I am not angry that we haven't won one for a few years as it takes time to build the team in order to win things. I am happy to be watching Arsenal play good football at the moment and our players are good role models."
